In late summer 2024, I was diagnosed with [TYPE / STAGE, e.g. early-onset Alzheimer’s disease]. It changed a lot of things, but it didn’t change who I am. I’m still a [HUSBAND / FATHER / GRANDFATHER / FRIEND], still [SOMETHING JOE LOVES, e.g. the first one at the lake on Saturday mornings], and still here.

I finished 20 monthly infusion treatments in September 2026, and by then I had no amyloid plaque on my brain. Treatment gave me my life back. That’s why my mission isn’t just to get people tested. It’s to help them see which treatments are available for them, because new ones are being rolled out all the time. Everyone’s situation is different, and I’m not a doctor, so please talk with yours about your own options.
